i just finished working on a gateway PIII pc. everything was fine until i took it over to a friend's house to use. windows was in the process of shutting down when a blue screen came on for a split second, then the pc rebooted itself. it didnt do this at my house so i dont see what couldve caused this to happen. it was plugged in a power strip so i tried it without the strip but no change.

if anyone has had this problem, or knows how to fix it, please help....thanks!

Have you tried booting into "safe mode".........

Something may have come "lose" during transportation...Check your cables/cards etc.....

Can you "boot" to a DOS prompt????

Maybe your windows Installation has become corrupted....

What OS are you running???

More than likely it has to do with recent changes to the system. start there

I had to reinstall Windows 2000. no changes were made to BIOS. I also removed his CD-Burner as it wasnt working properly. i'll recheck the cards and see about booting it in safe mode...thanks.
