I just replaced a PCI graphics card with a Radon VE Dual display, When I re-boot I have to wait 15 minutes to 1 hour the get my Monitors to turn on with the re-boot, The yellow/green light on the monitors stays yellow. I have changed the BIOS to AGP prefence, I removed all the old cards drivers before I replaced the card so that it would boot in standard VGA (640x) I'm thinking that It might be the Power Supply it is only a 250 watt. I downloaded all the current drivers. Could the card be overheating? I do not get any POST beep errors. but If I let it sit turned of for 20-60 minutes. It boots up and the monitors turn on? I have tried unppluging the Power cord until the led on the MOBO goes off then turn it back on. I can put the PCI card back in and get the monitors right off the bat?? any thoughts. This one has me puzzled, I am thinking that it is a Heat issue because of the time factor involved.

Couple of questions.

What type of Mobo do you have?

I can't remember if that is a regular AGP or a pro card.

I just installed the Radeon LE and didn't have any probs. Same card basically.

When you boot your pc. do you get a beep at boot up?

Try taking the card out and re-seating it. i had this problem once before and found that I didn't have it seated good. Very easy to do on Mobo's that have a pro AGP slot.

I have ATI RADEON 64Mb DDR.

I didn't have any problems installing it at all.

I would do as Beta Spanky said, just check that you have inserted the card correctly, double check your Mobo BIOs settings.

Re-install back to VGA graphic drivers then try installing the proper drivers again.

If you try all this and still nothing, you may have a faulty graphics card bud.

But once again double check by trying the card in a other rig before you chuck-it.

Maybe your card could be overheating, which could make it unstable.

Maybe try something like this

ASUS A7V, I belive that it is a standard AGP with the " L " hook at end of the card. No "POST errors" beep(s) per me orginal posting.

I have tried reseating it multiple times, No luck. I think that I will return it and get another card.

Hmmmm Heat Sinks, great idea but overkill is an understament on that 1meg card lol.

Also make sure you have nothing in the first PCI slot. That slot is shared with the AGP slot and could cause conflicts.

You may just have a bad card. That's the same board I installed the LE on, with no problems.
