When Photoshop 7 is loading on my comp, it hangs for several seconds durring the "initializing", "loading brushes", and "sotring font list" parts of the loading process. This has no affect on the performance of the programs except it takes too long to load. This problem never occurred with Win 2K Pro, but as soon as I installed XP Pro, I started noticing this issue. I tried uninstalling Photoshop ans installing clean...that didn't work. ImageReady has a similar glitch as well, but not as serious.

Anybody have any ideas on how to fix it?

Many thanks to BetaONE members for helping everyone with problems like this.

Sincerely,

Sigmazeta314

I am not sure that I understand what you are asking, but on mine it takes 5 seconds from the time that I click the shortcut till the hour glass is gone and the program is ready to use. So that is not instant but not that bad and I have SEVERAL plugins going also. I have mine installed on another partition other than c:\....
