Spies tell me that the 2mb service for business will soon be making a domestic debut. Read about the current business service here _http://www.byworkwise.com/

I love 1mb but can't wait for 2mb !!!

I'm stuck on the 512kbit. I really want to upgrade but I don't pay the bills.

Hmm buisness only at the moment. Have 1mbit here. I wish they would 1/2 the upload speed as well, rather than 2mbit down, 256 up.

1/2 the upload speed? don't you mean double?

As for me, im stuck with ADSL. At least I can get some form of terrestrial broadband now....

I wish BT would introduce home 1 Mbit services for ADSL. The business 2 mbit service is like £160.

I wish isps realized that everything thats not full duplex isnt good enough. Here in norway some cheap [45 usd a month] provider used to have 10/10 mbit fibre.

Now this is gone.. some other peasant service called BKK is giving 10/10 mbit off the electric network, which is an interesting thing, since all those miles with power cables should be used for something other than electricity

What we really need is a global, switched wi-fi infrastructure

Free access in any location, at realistic speeds of 30MBit (in the case of 802.11g).

This could be set up by individual volunteers, but has only proven to work in areas where the population density of technically literate people is high.

I would be willing to help deploy nodes, but 99% of the people in my neighbourhood probably dont even know what the internet is...

my dream is ofcourse wireless everywhere. The ip will be defined by the nic itself. and if you plug the nic into the wall, it will switch from the 30 mb wireless to 500 mbit fibre seamlessly without loosing anything or changing ip.
