You should check the MD5SUM for the ISO. Generally there is a file posted with the ISOs called MD5SUMS or something similar. You should download that along with an md5sum program such as md5summer (You should e able to find one on downloads.com). Then use the Program to check the md5sums. They should be the same as the one in the MD5SUMS file, if not the file is corrupt.
If the ISO is not corrupt, try burning the CD at slower speeds.
If you do end up having to download the CD again, I suggest you wait for a little while for Mandrake 9.0 to come out.
