Sound Blaster Live connection
Hello,

I have a new case, and I want to plug the headphone and mic jacks to my sound card.

This is a sound blaster live.

I want to plug these jacks right to the sound card if it is possible.

I have 7 cables to connect.....left, other left, right, other right, mic power, ground and another mic.

I attach a pic of the sound card.

Thanks for your help my friends

Please check just the last picture

I have a soundblast live as well, and the way I set up mine is that the two holes closest to the game port are for front and rear channels, the middle one (the red one) is for the mic, and then others are for line in and something else. If you want to plug in your mic, i believe it should go in the middle one, the red hole. The black and green holes (for front and rear channels) could be used for your headphones. Not quite sure which hole to use, but you can use trial and error Sounds like you have 7 cables to connect, so I would suggest getting a few connector cables from Radio shack or your nearest electronic shop. You can combine lefts and rights and not have headphones, (maybe there is a headphone jack on speakers somewhere?) or maybe combine left channels and right channels into one plug and then have headphones. All sorts of combinations, but it sounds like you are going to need to get a few cable connectors (some Y connectors, two cables to one cable). Hope this helps somehow, good luck

Oh yea thats right. Damn!

Damn website is pissing me off so off the top of my head. lol

OK well just looked in my case. hehe Pretty close to my audigy 2 plat. pro it appears.

Make sure the headphones is plugged into the third jack on the sound card itself. The Fourth one if you have one is only for speakers.

A lot of people have that problem. I always want to put in fourth jack for some reason. Seeing as it works but then when I try to listen to CD audio or DVD r audio then i just get static if i use the Fourth jack.

Well before i went plat pro that is cause now I got the sweet as box. Hehe Makes things so much easier when my brother hooks up his sweet as elt guitar.

You know it would help if I knew the model number.

Anyways, also be sure to connect your CD audio cable from your CD ROM or DVD burner to the auto cards CD audio connector. Either digital which is SpDIF or the analog one if you have both.

Again depending on what type of speakers you have. Don't know if sound blaster live supports both so. Cant tell u which one it is. So you have to figure that one out. Sure u know.

Well web site acting right now. damn cookies...

So see this for pics:
