Yes, there is a way to join two mpegs into one. I think the program is called VirtualDub, but I havent had much background with that program and couldnt walk you through the steps. But I think that is the program name, and I am sure there is a way to do it. Of course, there are lots of other programs that will do the trick too

Since you are using TMPGEnc, why don't you use the mpeg tools with it. You can cut, join, whatever with it. Also, a great tool I just found to rip DVD's with is DVD2SVCD. Great quality, plus you can also use TMPGEnc as the encoder for the program. Good luck with your videos.
