i would believe so
even though u can still run all 32-bit programs
or so microsoft says

You can run 32 bit on a 64bit intel but it will actually run slower than a 32 bit processor. The new hammer will run either 32 or 64 bit faster than a 32 bit processor due to it's coded instructions.
