Anyone use 64bit version of Windows XP?

Just wondering.

What are the system specs for it?

Thanks,
Will

Maybe once the amd hammer comes out we will all be able to afford the 64bit

Wouldn't you need programs to take advantage of a 64 bit architecture.

war59312 4th Sep 02 07:19 PM

i would believe so

even though u can still run all 32-bit programs

or so microsoft says ;)

You can run 32 bit on a 64bit intel but it will actually run slower than a 32 bit processor. The new hammer will run either 32 or 64 bit faster than a 32 bit processor due to it's coded instructions.

Seems as if AMD have got it right again. Another blow for Intel.

;) maybe not ;)
