New generation set to 18
DVD player manufacturer Plextor is set to release a new machine that can record at speeds of 18 times.
The new E-IDE PX-760A DVD recorder will be able to do its 18 times speed on single layers and a blistering ten times on a double sided DVD+R DL. It can also burn DVD-RW, DVD-VR and CD-R/W media as well.
It will hit the shops for $119 USD in April of this year. There will be a USB version and an E-IDE drive.
It has a 2MB buffer and uses Plextor's PowerRec technology adjusts the laser intensity and burn speed to correct impurities in the recordable media. More
