i, too have a similar problem. i cant change the drive letter for my local disk (master drive). i recently reinstalled my os and the master and slave drives switched drive letters. my slave is now C: and my master is now F:. i've gone and tried to switch it back in disk management, but i get the message: 'windows cannot modify the drive letter of your system volume or boot volume'.

is there any other way to change my drive letter back to C: w/o repartitioning my hd? i want to keep my new os intact. i've already changed my slave drive letter to S: just for the heck of it. if i have to repartition, can someone tell me how? btw, i have a
Dell 4400
Windows XP Pro w/ SP1
Integrated audio
Gforce 2 64mb
