You might want to scan for viruses or trojans because there is no rundll.exe with XP.
There used to be a rundll.exe with windows 9.x, but NT, 2000, and XP only have rundll32.exe

I remember hearing about some virus using that name because it sounds like a legitimate program. That second screenshot you posted looks a little fishy with the skull on it.
Best of luck,
Dave

Wait!

What Dave said was very true.

1. Windows 2000/XP do NOT have rundll.exe
2. The screenshot of the error message of that rundll.exe has a Skull

This should be definitely a virus unless you have installed a program which uses a rundll.exe.

I am not sure if Reinstalling Windows would eliminate the Virus; or at least fix the problem. If your current Antivirus software does not detect any viruses, then if I were you, I would install Windows in another partition where the virus becomes inactive.

Did you also scan for spyware?

Also, just search for all instances of rundll.exe and delete it.

If it says its in use then just login to winxp like normal then open task manager and kill explorer.exe and then in task manager click the file menu and create new task and type in cmd and delete all the files using msdos.

If you dont know how to delete the files using msdos then just type help while using it and that will explain everything or just ask for more hep and I will go into more detail. del is the delete command btw.

Hopefully that will fix your problem. But not only that after you delete the files then scan for adware and virus just though msdos.

Then hopefully everything should be taken care of.

Now if you have already decided to start new then to so could clean your partiton.

What I do is get a winme boot disk (believe it or not, its the best one i found for the job todate) and then use it using fdisk and deleting the partition and creat a new one and then format it with my winxp cd back to ntfs. Pretty simple and takes about 30 min or so on my 80gb.
