I know there's at least a few Linkin Park fans out there that will read this, but if you have any interest in LP you WILL love Evanescence. Just think about this simple equation:
Evanescence = Linkin Park + Dido
No, not literally, but just the music of both bands... It's a fabulous combination and I haven't been able to put the CD down since I got it!

...the only song that even comes CLOSE to resembling Linkin Park...is Bring Me to Life.
anD *ONLY* because the label had them put in the "rapper" aspect into it.
SO PLEASE don't compare them ...
And thats because *I* can't even get into the band (Evanescence)
but to compare them to LP is a disgrace to the band.
I went out and bought both Meteora AND Fallen *together* from borders.com as a promotional thing... I still have to disagree with you... but that's ok. Everyone has their own opinion/tastes. In the time since I bought Fallen, I've listened to it abour 9 or 10 times all the way through. I still think that the guitar strongly resembles LP's sound...
I find it difficult to not listen to the album. I personally think it is one of the better albums I own The only track I am not so up on is track 4 "My Immortal"... But one song outta the entire CD that is not my cup of tea is definitely not bad! The album gets 2 thumbs up from me!
