I know there's at least a few Linkin Park fans out there that will read this, but if you have any interest in LP you WILL love Evanescence. Just think about this simple equation:

Evanescence = Linkin Park + Dido

No, not literally, but just the music of both bands... ;) It's a fabulous combination and I haven't been able to put the CD down since I got it!

but to compare them to LP is a disgrace to the band.

Yeah .. that look like good band of music .. i saw one video of this band .... With this chick voice ... that was a good sound to my ears!!

compare them to Lacuna Coil...The Gathering...Nightwish even.

I went out and bought both Meteora AND Fallen *together* from borders.com as a promotional thing... I still have to disagree with you... but that's ok. ;) Everyone has their own opinion/tastes. In the time since I bought Fallen, I've listened to it abour 9 or 10 times all the way through. I still think that the guitar strongly resembles LP's sound...

Heard some clips at a retail store listening station. I definitely want/like this. :)

I find it difficult to not listen to the album. I personally think it is one of the better albums I own :) The only track I am not so up on is track 4 "My Immortal"... But one song outta the entire CD that is not my cup of tea is definitely not bad! :D The album gets 2 thumbs up from me!
