Can someone enlighten me on this?

I am a happy user of XP PRO.

What would upgrading or installing Server 2003, of whatever flavor, buy me that I don't already have?
What are the benefits running one of the Server series when I don't own a business, or run a large network?

Should I dump XP Pro in favour of one of the Server series just because its "there".?

Any informative comments will certainly be appreciated.

Nope. Unless you are learning about servers or are wanting to setup a home network using a server, then definately not.
