Actually, I previously tested one older Win95 pgm (named something like
Undo!) which could back up and restore both file and registry changes, but the start/stop_monitoring didn't offer enough manual control to suit me.
As for
JV16 PowerTools, it won't do what I'm talking about here but I do frequently use
RegCleaner, which is included in that package, for cleaning up after an uninstall -- highly recommended!
