A quick decko, for example, at the Crucial UK web site this morning shows that 256MB of PC2100 DDR RAM costs £25.99 +VAT.
A similar density of PC 133 memory costs £27.99 +VAT.
While it's good for the Dramurai that production has gone in this direction, what's bad is that most of the memory manufacturers can't make a profit at these kind of prices.
The chips that go onto a memory module currently are being sold at less than they cost to make.
