I don't know about the buttons because I still use the default ones. I did see a free development pack though somewhere, either on the support forum or \
www.ibresource.com which is a good support site for InvisionBoard with all the hacks.
The make your forum hidden only to certain user groups go to your admin cp and click on forum control on the left, then manage. Now select the forum you want to hide and the member groups are all listed. If you uncheck read access for a certain group then that user group can't see the forum, but other user groups can if they have read access. You can set up other user groups under users and groups, manage user groups.
