According to my textbooks... the technical bandwidth barrier for ADSL is 8Mbps... and with VDSL coming around the corner DSL may prove to be a worthy opponent.
Cable is very nice, a little weak in the info safety and bandwidth allocation. I don't know really though I'm going to have to think about what ISP I want in the future, ie college grad. Hopefully VDSL will have made a appearance by then. 24Mb/s...... If you live downtown or in a wired apartment.
Though I'm not going to choose where I live depending on where I can get the most bandwidth..
