i noticed that restore point files are stored in the system volume information directory. every restore point seenms to be saved in a separate directory such as RP11, RP12 etc. to save space, i want to physically delete some of the restore points but keep others. can i do this?

are each restore points independent of each other (i.e. if i delete a restore point, other restore points are unusable)?

i find very little documentation about restore point management. any insight will be appreciated.
