I am on the way to install VMware and just read the END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR VMWARE™ DESKTOP SOFTWARE PRODUCT. I got stuck after this. For your ease here is what happened:

.....(end of reading the license agreement)....

Do you accept? (yes/no) yes

Thank you.

Trying to find a suitable vmmon module for your running kernel.

None of VMware Workstation's pre-built vmmon modules is suitable for your
running kernel. Do you want this script to try to build the vmmon module for
your system (you need to have a C compiler installed on your system)? [yes]

Argument "gcc (GCC) 3" isn't numeric in numeric ge (>=) at /usr/bin/vmware-confi
g.pl line 1476, <STDIN> line 3.
What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running
kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include]

The path "/usr/src/linux/include" is not an existing directory.

What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running
kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include] i dunno

I knew VMware is not properly confgured in my Linux
As craftyc taught me, I just tried vmware to see just in case if it works. But not yet...

[root@localhost root]# vmware

VMware Workstation Error:
VMware Workstation is installed, but it has not been (correctly) configured for your running kernel. To (re-)configure it, your system administrator must find and run "vmware-config.pl". For more information, please read file "INSTALL" in the VMware Workstation documentation directory.

Press "Enter" to continue...

[root@localhost root]# vmware-config.pl
Making sure VMware Workstation's services are stopped.

Stopping VMware services:
