I installed Lindows 3.0 and have to congratulate them on a really fine distro. Very friendly and very "Windows like". But I think you must be a Lindows exclusive customer to use this, pay the annual fee and just use the software they provide It is clear that the hype about being windows compatible is Bull pucky. Just isn't true. WINE is a module you can run on any Linux distro. If you try to install Office XP, you get taken to a Lindows web page telling you to install Star Office--hey, what else?
I'm going back to Mandrake 9.0 on my Linux machine. I'm still unable to hook up the LAN. Dunno why. I guess I'm "slow". Lindows appears to be very up to date on the LAN problem--much like Lycoris is. But, this time around Lindows did not automatically mount the FAT partitions. I was surprised.
