Intel sues firm over magic five letters
Outside

LEGAL BEAGLES at Intel continue to hunt down and nail firms which have the letters i, n, t, e, and l in their names.

The latest to get the treatment is Intelxx Technology and its trademark Intellmap.

Intel lawyers claimed that the defendants in the case have designed the "intell" part of the names to look like its own, and are blurring its distinctiveness. It said it had approached the defendants but they refused to change their trade names and marks. So Intel filed a case in a Montana district court on the 18th of September. It wants the usual - for the defendants to hand over the intellxx.com and intellmap.com domain names, damages and $100,000.
