If you install some CDR software, or uninstall certain Burning software, or have a CDRW that M$ doen't "Quite" support, You may want to read this M$ article on how to fix the problem...

Most "Disappearing CDRW problems can be fixed if you follow the instructions in this article....

Hope this helps solve a comman problem in XP...

It's usually the fault of an ealier release of CLONECD OR NERO

Updating to the latest versions and deleting a few registry keys fixes most problems.........

Nope but my main drive is now a file. The only way to open my c drive now is right click/open
