If you install some CDR software, or uninstall certain Burning software, or have a CDRW that M$ doen't "Quite" support, You may want to read this M$ article on how to fix the problem...

Most "Disappearing CDRW problems can be fixed if you follow the instructions in this article....

It's usually the fault of an ealier release of CLONECD OR NERO

Updating to the latest versions and deleting a few registry keys fixes most problems.........

Nope but my main drive is now a file. :confused: The only way to open my c drive now is right click/open

same here but the drive works fine...

It happens to me intermittently,returns after rebooting.
