what CDR media you reckon done the best for ya?
atm i am stuck with TDK. i used Verbatim in the early stages....
just bought a 50 CD stack of TDK GOLD. it just says multispeed. without any information like 1x2x4x8x16x24x32x40x48x  i wanna know if it is 48x compatible as well. has anybody burnt it in 48x?

I got some Imation 48x compatible ones, 30 for £10 jewel cased

i just get whatever is either free or real cheap after mail-in rebates. haven't had any problems with any of it. most of the time its either verbatim, imitation, prime peripherals.

I used Aritas for a long time, now I'm on Sony. Both brands will do the job for me on 48x.
For CD/RW I only use Sony 10x, and that also works fine.

TDK seems to be a good choice, among with some others

Just o'clocked my liteon 40x12x48 to 48, but didn't burn any cd's at 48 speed yet

Hi Flanderz,
Don't know if this is the right place to discuss here ?
It can be done by flashing the firmware of your writer with a small program :MTKFLASH.exe
You can find a lot of info here: (for Liteon drives)

Thanks mate, have an old HP 9300i, so no go there for me. Have to save up for that Plextor 48x24x48 Burnproof!
An interesting read though.
