Aye, me parrot concurs.The Pirate Bay are one of the largest bit torrent sites that offers users trackers to torrents and mostly illegal content. The Pirate Bay became famous for their legal response letters to companies demanding take down actions.It was always thought that because the group resided in Sweden that due to copyright laws there was nothing that could be done. According to a statement from the group "Swedish police has today taken all the servers of The Pirate Bay into custody, along with the servers of a number of other unrelated web hotel customers.The police chose to do this despite the fact that the services provided by the world's largest bittorrent tracker has been deemed fully legal in Sweden.Piratbyrån, a swedish pro-pirate lobby organisation, also got their servers taken, since they where located in the same server rack.Two operators of The Pirate Bay are in police custody, and can not currently be reached for comment."If the servers are seized for good then this is a big blow for the bit torrent community and illegal file sharing.In other news, isohunt.com is being pursued by the MPAA.Arrr, i guess tis' goodbye t' torrents from the pirate bay Aye.
