help converting dvds from pal to ntsc
 

What is the best program to use to convert pal dvds to ntsc dvd? I purshased a few dvd when I was on vacation overseas and when I got home I noticed they were pal format. This is why I want to know how to convert them. Or what is the easiest way to do so.

So long as they are purchased legally then there aren't any problems with telling you how to convert them :) Use smart ripper to rip the movies to the HDD in MPEG format , use TMPGEnc express or plus to convert the mpeg to the desired format then use nero to re-encode and burn back to dvd. That's probably the easiest way.

Extract the dvd with DvdDecrypter;load the VOB file in VSO's DivX2Dvd and choose NTSC as movie standard....let the program do it's job and you'll get a nice VIDEO_TS folder with NTSC VOBs..:)

Forgot to mention:
extract the VOBs as 1 VOB file with DvdDecrypter......NO 1GB automatic splitting,otherwise you have to join them and reauthor to a singe menu after DivX2Dvd completes encoding....
You can feed DivX2Dvd several VOBs at the time,but it creates a seperate menu for each 1 of them if you load the 0.99 GB VOBs.....
