The "Welcome screen" only works when your computer has NOT been added to a domain.
As soon als you'll make your XP box a member of any NT domain (NT4/W2K/.NET) you loose the welcome screen and the "Fast User Switching"will be disabled. I've searched for it all over the net and there doesn't seem a fix/hack for this. Just remove the box from the domain again, and keep the usernames and passwords on the domain the same as on the XP box. This way people can logon to the XP Box and everthing will work on the domain also. Hopes this helps, Cheers! |
dear Le Cactus thanx 4 your personal interest but this is not a welcome screen and it is not appered at domail failure , xp is connected to domain users can access all resource but after some time 1 hr etc. when user again try to access network resource on other xp machine then this logon box appears and it did not accepts username and password of the current user connected by stating that this has already tried if give the passwod of some other user it again shows and shares network resources on other xp machines. that is it
