I recent used IE to download a 7MB file using a ftp link but it would only complete 5MB or so of the file. Windows never told me it could not finish the file. I think this might be a bug with SP2 v.2149
If anyone could please test this on their system with the same build and reply here, I'd greatly appreciate it. TIA B) |
Tested on mine and it work ok!! It might be the integrated firewal of xp causing you grieaf! Recommend disabling it!!
Cheers Protecteur :D |
Or could be the server you were downloading from. Did you try more than one server. ;)
Anyways just tested it on my old test comp. and works with with rc2. |
Yes it was all with the same server. Since it worked fine with FlashFXP but not IE/Windows I just assumed it might be the SP2 update. I'll try to find more info and post it here. <_<
Edit - I found out the server I was downloading from was Serv-U 5.0.0.11 and others have not noticed problems with other server programs. I question if it's just a problem with SP2 and Serv-U 5.0.0.11 |
Looks like there is something wrong with IE6 in XP SP2 RC2?
I never succeeded downloading files using IE6 unless I used a download manager. ![]() Cheers, McoreD |
The download bug in IE has been fixed in v2162. Well, at least for me.
![]() So indeed there has been a problem with it. |
With the new build I've had to start using a download manager. If I don't the download gets between 25 - 50 % and just stalls. Every download I've tried with IE reacts this way.

Um its the new Information Bar that is causing problems. :)
Should be fixed I hope. Still trying to get an awnser from microsoft on my problem. In the newsgroupds. ;) |
