Are you using the latest video drivers?
Have you got the latest nimo codec? Updating that has solved slow playback and messed up video for me Do other divx movies play ok? What about Mediaplayer 9? Hope this helps, can't think of any other things it might be |
Rather than installing the DivX codec, or a large pack of codecs, I would reccommend ffdshow-alpha (search for it on google). It's an open source codec that plays DivX, Xvid, etc.
If the DivX's you are trying to play have AC3 audio, the problem might be with the audio codec... I had this problem once. Get AC3Filter - it seems to work best. |
That's what I thought too -- the audio codec. I experienced slow playback when I played a movie with WMA9Pro 5.1 Channel with Stereo Speakers. I had to change the Speaker settings to 5.1 Surround Sound too -- even though I didn't have one.
But he has encoded them in Dr. DivX. So I believe they are in MP3 Audio format. |
Have you tried playing them with Media Player Classic from here?

Hi all
I tried the Media player classic and it isnt working either on that too..i mean the movie was moving frame by frame..bnut the iother divx converted movies are playing well. And i found out the Audio is very feeble. I have to keep full volume to hear the sound. I dont knwo what the probleem is..can any one help me out on this? is that because of the file size the movie is playng very slowly?.. one avi size is 788MB an the otjher is 854 MB thanks a ton /KK |
Code:
www.videolan.org This plays dvdx/xvcd/divx/xvid. |
TheMysterio...
Download and run GSPOT fromhttp://www.headbands.com/gspot/ It will tell you what codecs your computer is using to play that file. Compare a file which works, with one which doesn't. If you post the results here (both the audio and video codec used to play the file), it might help us figure out what the problem is. |
