Intuit Apologizes to Customers Over TurboTax

PALO ALTO, Calif. (Reuters) - Hoping to signal a return to its customer-friendly roots, Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq:INTU - news) on Thursday apologized to its TurboTax customers who were angered when the company installed anti-piracy technology on the popular tax-preparation software for the 2002 tax year.
"In response to feedback from our customers, I want you to know that we're making an important change to TurboTax software and have removed activation technology," Allanson said, adding that the new TurboTax for the 2003 tax year can be used fully on multiple computers.
