Hi all, I have a problem...

Is there anyway to enable sound in safe mode? I have a DVD drive in my comp and in order to see it on my TV I have to lower my resolution to 640 x 480. I have a 17" TFT monitor and it wonīt go below 800 x 600. The solution is to boot into safe mode but then I have no sound. lol. Iīm using XP Pro.

Thanks in advance.

It's not ur monitor, it's ur vid card.

Altho there may be a better way - what about starting windows in that mode where u have to say yes or no to load drivers etc. (if possible - forget what that's called ) and don't load your vid drivers...

when windows is booting, keeping tapping the F8 key to get to the list of options, and select enable VGA mode, that'll skip loading your video drivers and i *think* you can put the resolution to 640 x 480 then

Have you tried enabling Windows Audio service in Start > Run > services.msc ?
This might help.
