Hello,
After having fits with Zone Alarm (free version), I went searching for another free firewall. I discovered Sygates Personal Firewall and have been quite impressed so far. I have also read several user reviews on cnet and other places and they all seem pretty positive about it. Not buggy like Zone Alarm. Of course everyone has their favorite firewall. It tests excellent at grc.com using the Shields UP! test. I may upgrade to Pro in the future, but for now I'll see how it goes.
I was just wondering if anyone else has used this program and what they thought of it. I've used Norton and McAfee, but they seem so much bells and whistles and resource hogs. And now Norton wants us to activate. I want it simple and effective. I'm a cheapskate too, so I won't pay their inflated prices. I hope Microsoft puts a more complete firewall in Longhorn or whatever they are calling it.

If this is in the wrong section, then it's my bad. Thought it would be okay at BetaOne since it's not warez, which is of course not okay here!
