How Do I get rid of old programs when I deleted them, Kontiki for instance, had craploads of spyware, and I simply deleted it, and now its stuck in the programs list. Others like some toolkits for a game, and Morpheus 2.0

Anyone know how to help?

How did you delete the program/programs in question? Did you use the programs uninstall, Windows ADD/Remove or just delete the program files? Have you tried using programs like adaware or spybot to erase the spyware in question. If the program in question was a recent install, don't forget to try system restore if using WinXP.

I used Ad-Aware 6 and it doesnt uninstall Kontiki (CNET Download Manager), it just deletes seleted files, and now the Program is gone but still listed as installed. It just gets annoying and whenever I try to "uninstall/change" it says "cannot find uninstall.log. I deleted the toolkit and it does the same thing except it didnt contain spyware.

In use Super Rabbit Registy Cleaner every now and then for getting rid of old and bad keys.

EDIT: I use Win2k Pro

Okay, thanks for the tips on registry cleaners, but what I was asking was how do you get rid of things out of the Add/ Remove programs menu if youve already deleted the Program Files of it?

I found RegHance by Lavasoft for a regisrty editor and I still use Super Rabbit.

One of my biggest pet peeves is unorganization. I dont want programs in the installed programs list if theyre no longer there.

@scathe skeleton;
you have these options in Regcleaner, look in the meny at the top, there are options to remove non-existing programs. Choose Software, look for the "non-existing" program you want to remove, tick it and choose "remove selected" in the right bottom corner, thatīs it You can also right-click on the program you want to remove and choose "Advanced info" and you will se what will be deleted from the registry.
Restart your computer and you will find that these program in the "Add/remove-programlist" is gone.
