ok i am having a serious problem.
my computer will not power on. everything is connected fine. i powered down last night and this morning it wouldn't power up. nothing was touched so theoretically it should power up. all i can figure is that the wiring or connectors for the power switch are faulty or that the power supply is faulty but i have no idea on how to test the either theory....
this is actually the second time this has happened. the first time was about 2 months ago when it just would not power up. i rechecked everything and actually pulled the power switch out from the front of the case so it was just hanging out the front. then it worked, dont know why but it did. now it has ceased to power on again. i checked everything again but to no avail.
what has me perplexed is that something is working most of the time but fails maybe 1 out of 100 times. this stuff is supposed to work or not work. working only 90 percent of the time is a pain that shouldnt exist.
any help would be appreciated.

If u think it is the switch,
try by passing it or cut the wires from it and join the 2 wires together (pull the plug out of the socket first)
when you plug it back in and the pc powes up you know its the switch. (make sure you leave enough wire on the switch incase you find the switch was not faulty)
I had my friends pc apart trying to find out why it would'nt power up , i first thought it was the switch. it turned out to be a blown power pack.
good luck.
