The way to fool your modem into pulling the docsis.md5 is to set your network card to the same ip as your dhcp. Then you have to run a tftp server. You then reboot your modem and when it boots it looks at your network card instead of the DHCP and asks your computer for the config file not the dhcp. You can then send your edited config file to the modem. After doin this you set your ip back to normal and walah you have faster upload and download speed.

To do this though is illegal and not to be followed. This is just an example. Do not try this

I havent done this cable modem hack. All I know it has been documented on how to do it. I have never done this but it has been well documented on how to and if followed through is possible bu the looks of it. But not recommended
