any cd you burn should be readable in other computers, no matter what program you use

are you closing the sessions on the discs when you burn them? if you're not, that's one reason it might not be reading in another machine

the only other reason i can think of for it not to work in another pc, other than really really cheap low grade media, is the other pc you're trying them in has an old cdrom drive that doesn't have the firmware to read r and rw media

I have been using Nero express lateley for just writing bits and pieces to a disk. Ensure the option to white to the disk later is enabled and it works fine
Could be that some of the packet writing software will not work without making the disk 9X compatable. I had this with my first ever burner , gave up on it after writing 3/4 of a disk and losing it all because I thought cd writing was foolproof and had cleared the stuff from the hard drive.
Tell us what you are using now. ? more details may help.

you may need the udf reader. Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for UDF VOLUME READER http://www.roxio.com/en/support/ecdc...pdatesv4.jhtml. That is if your using roxio for burning, just install the udf reader in the computer you want to read the cdr.

not unless it is a multi-read cd-rom and only if the disk has been closed and thats a cdr. very few if any cd-roms will read a cdrw
