I have an old DOS game that ran fine on a 386 but now under DOS with my 1100 megahertz AMD Duron the game runs at speeds even too fast for me. Does anyone have a good idea on how to correct this problem for me. I found information on Google, but before I try testing slowdown software I trust your ideas first.

i've never tried any of them, but i know there are programs out there for this exact purpose that eat cpu cycles so the dos game runs at the right speed

if your cpu is unlocked, you could always seriously underclock your processor too and use a boot disk and boot to pure dos and play it from there too

---- edit -----

i'm still half asleep , your cpu doesn't need to be unlocked, drop the fsb down to about 10 and have fun retro gaming

If the only problem is controlling the mouse, there's a little proggie called "slowdown" that i use for some older games. pm me if want it, but cant find it from your usual sources.
