I don't do collectibles, but I couldn't resist this one. Way before I ever got to see the movie (The Day the Earth Stood Still), I was familiar with this image from the old Science Fiction Book Club ads.

"Now, Rocket USA releases a 5" solid die-cast metal depiction of Gort. Finished in a soft silver paint, this is a good representation of the stoic robotic policeman. Gort comes packaged in a small window display box with opening flap revealing the robot standing firm inside."

P.S. Got my Gort statuette in the mail today. The little sucker weighs about 2 pounds! Would make a great "Oscar" for SF movies. Or a nice paperweight.
