This is not meant to start a debate on the merits of the probable war that is about to begin. All the anti-war protests in the world will not change the fact that it WILL happen. History will judge whether or not it was the right course of action by our elected leaders. Elected, that is, by the 50-60% percent of us who take the right to vote seriously enough to go to the polls.

This conflict may start as early as this week or perhaps not until the next 'new moon' on April 1st. A very sobering thought if you a soldier or the family member or close friend of a soldier. I'm in the close friend category. Especially if you consider that Saddam has used WMD (weapons of mass destruction) against his own citizens and possibly even in the last Gulf War (ie. Gulf War Syndrome).

I see good arguments and can respect the views of both sides of this complicated issue. At least we live in a country where people CAN show thier opposing views without getting thier tongues sliced off.

Is this the right war at the right time? Hard to say for sure. I have some reservations. But I guess one always should have reservations, because war is hell for both sides. This ain't no phucking video game, boys and girls. Real blood, real tears, real death. And as is ALWAYS the case in ANY war, many innocents are about to die for the sins of their leader.

I always chuckle when people say we are becoming the policeman of the world. Face it, we've been the policeman of the world since WWII. For better or worse, it is this nation's destiny. And yes, sometimes it has been for the worse.

I voted for Gore, but I think Bush has done fairly well since 9/11. So I will support the path he has taken us down. Sadly though, I have come to view the United Nations as a glorified debate club. This New World Order is just crap. Where was the UN when 500,000+ were being slaughtered in Rwanda? The UN is good for famine relief and such, but little else it seems.

I really just wanted to show my support for all the brave men and women who are about to spill blood for their country's sake. And also for all the other military who serve our interests in many other parts of the world. Your sacrifice does not go unnoticed here. I also thank the forces from other countries who are with us in Iraq, such as Spain and Australia.

And if it comes to war, then I say "Let's Kick Some Ass! You phucked with the wrong country, Saddam!!!"

Go Red, White, and Blue!
