A US TV station said that Intel has founded a joint agreement to work on MEMS, microscopic electrical systems.
Intel and Next Generation Economy will work together in Intel's Rio Ranche fab near Albuquerque to develop MEMS.
The microscopic sized systems are projected to be used in a number of futuristic schemes including electronics, medicine and many other arenas.
Next Generation Economy ? or NextGen ? is a private/public initiative aimed at helping to build up the economy in central New Mexico.
