Title supposed to say Disintegrates not Degenerates. Is not there a way to edit the topic title? Could an Admin please edit the title TIA, jiz

Anyone here from Texas? Space shuttle Columbia apparently disintegrated in flames over Texas minutes before it was to land today, video showed what appeared to be falling debris, as NASA declared an emergency and warned residents to beware of fallen objects.

I'd like to give condolences to all of the crew's family and anyone involved.

Any first hand info or video?

"they" say that terrorism had nothing to do with this..

However, United States may still use this as a feed.

i edited the topic.... and wow , i don't think it could have been a terroist attack either, the highest a surface to air missle can get in the air is 60 thousand feet roughly, and the shuttle was 200 thousand feet in the air... my condolences too

I've been watching the footage of Columbia in total disbelief. The latest news is that there may have been thermal panel problems. It is very early to speculate really.

May God bless their souls.
