i have recently installed redmond linux and it says it supports my sidewinder game pad.here is my problem: i dl the source code for joystick drivers and i unpacked it and got it to start at boot(by clicking all kinds of shit)and got it . but when i boot it says it boots up my sidewinder but it skips my gameport how do i configure it to start at boot?and i can't get smooth firewall to work either. how the hell do you make the source code work for anything you want to install? i have read alot of documentation provided but it is very confusing to me is it the same process for all source code that i want to implement or is it different for all source code files i get? PLEASE HELP! PLEASE! anyone help this linux newbie that doesn't know what he's doing! arrrr
