Outlook 2002 Question

Outlook has a feature that displays a notice whenever you have new mail in your inbox.....but is there any way to make this work with HTTP based email? It never does work with my hotmail account, even though send and receive gets the email

EDIT- On second thought, it does not seem to work - may have something to do with the polling methods that are used for the new mail notification; they do not appear to work with http
