Serv-U FTP with Zone Alarm Help Needed

I have Serv-U FTP 3.0.0.17 Registered and
Zone Alarm Pro 2.6.231 also Registered...

I need help on setting up the FTP along with Zone Alarm Pro properly...

I am hopeful someone else has these settings and are currently running an FTP...That would be the best and easiest solution to my problem hopefully...

I am on cable and have no network setup...

If you know what I am supposed to do, please email me instructions or post them here...

Please make them as detailed as possible...

I do know how to use Serv-U FTP and Zone Alrm Pro, but I guess I don't know how to use them together...

Whoever helps me get my FTP Up and Running will be given their Own Private Account on my Server which I plan on publishing here on BetaNet...

Please help me out as I would really like to contribute to this board and also would like to serve for its members...APPZ, Games, and Everything Else

Under ZoneAlarm Pro main screen click security. Then in the lightblue box click customize. Now set Allow incoming and outgoing UDP to the port for your server.

Also set incoming and outgoing TCP to the port for your server. Also make sure that u add the server to the allowed programs list.

Set it to allow connect and server for local and internet.

ok i have problem affter i install latest zonealarm pro.my problem it my other pc cannot connect to internet any more. so any idea?

These may be a dumb answers to your problem winxpxp...but...

You ARE allowing your browser to access the internet? And your settings in Zone are set as previously suggested?

You are NOT using Netscape ( that sometimes can be a problem from what some people have said before)

You ARE using the version of Zone that is meant for use with XP?

ok the zonealarm version zapro26zl4 and use microsof internet explorerr 5. other pc use winxp os.i also allow browser access the internet and zonealarm set default.

you have to install zone alarm in both machines n configure machine with direct Inet connection as a 'ICS gateway'- puting right IP in ZoneAl 'security->advanced->general' ) n put same IP in 'client' machine.
