I have a couple questions about secondary HDs. Im gonna buy another hd soon and was wondering if you can only use them for strictly backup, or after booting off of one hd u can use the other for more storage, like an extended hd.

You can do pretty much what you like with one.
Use for storage or install optional O/S.
Even install your programs to it if you like.

Yes Spam is correct...

If you just pop in the HDD and do not install a OS on it (Dual boot), you can use it just for storage or what ever you want... You can basically think of it as a GIANT floppy. You can even go as far to partition the disk into more logical drives. Have a different section for different stuff...?

Later,
Lucky
