Sound Problem

My sound really sounds like s**t. I've installed 2 different sound cards a crystal cs4281 pci and a sb16 isa. They sound warbly or distorted. Does anyone have any drivers for either card that works with windows xp.

are you sure it isn't your speakers?

I'm sure it's not the speakers... It appears its somewhat fixed. VIA advised that the MPV3 chipset is older technology so with the new agp video cards chips,, they don't function well with the mpv3 chipsets... so I went back to a voodoo 3 pci video card and it sorta fixed the problem. Seems like the TNT agp card accelerates the video AND the sound stays slow.. LoL
