My Alcatel DSL modem works fine with any of the other Microsoft operating systems except XP.. I can use it with 2000 Pro with no problems, Is there something else I have to do, such as options, etc to make it work.

Thanks

Bud.

Is the Alcatel an internal, USB, or external modem?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with that brand.

Did you check the Alcatel site to see if they have any updated drivers for XP?

Try going to this website.

http://www.alcatel.com/consumer/dsl/supuser.htm

I have "Alcatel SpeedTouch USB" modem and it's wotking fine with any drivers(which comes with it or updated from Alcatel site). With USB modem you dont need to do anything other then install it as provider tells you.
Just contact Alcatel and ask them.
Ragards.
