Apparently entering thus far unannounced, Silverlight 2 Beta 2 is available for download. Microsoft Silverlight is a cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device plug-in for delivering the next generation of .NET based media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web.
Version 2 Beta 2 adds several major new features, including:
- Improved Template Model
- Including controls in the runtime instead of packaged in the app package
- Upload support
- Duplex communication
- Silverlight DRM streaming content
